Your questions, answered.

How should I interpret these reports?
Send volume and cost
Totals come from each send's SMS count and cost, grouped by send date.
Delivery and opt-outs
Delivery rate is delivered over delivered, bounced and pending; opt-out rate is opt-outs over delivered. Counts on recent sends keep changing for a few days as receipts arrive.
List growth
Removed contacts stay in the list members table with their status, so active and total counts can be compared.
How do I connect Kudosity?

How to Connect Kudosity

Kudosity (formerly Burst SMS) is an SMS marketing and messaging platform. Filament syncs your sent messages, campaign delivery reports, contact lists and list members so you can analyse SMS alongside your other data.

Prerequisites

  • A Kudosity account you can log in to
  • Your API key and an API secret. In Kudosity, open Settings, scroll to API settings, copy the API key and set an API secret, then click Update Profile.

Connection Steps

  1. Navigate to Apps and click ‘Add App’.
  2. Select Kudosity from the list of available connectors.
  3. Enter your API key and API secret. Filament checks them against your account balance endpoint.
  4. Describe how you use Kudosity, such as what your lists are for and how campaigns are named.
  5. Save and start syncing. The first sync covers the last 12 months.

What Data Gets Synced

Messages: one row per SMS sent to a recipient, with message text, recipient number, sender ID, delivery status and send time.

Campaigns: one row per send, including API, keyword and quick SMS sends. Each row has the type, message, SMS count, cost, and counts of pending, delivered, soft-bounced, hard-bounced, opt-outs and responses.

Lists: each contact list with its total and active contact counts and custom field names.

List Members: each contact on each list, with mobile number, first and last name, status, date added and custom field values.

Sync Frequency

Data syncs every 6 hours. Each sync re-reads the previous 7 days of messages and campaigns, so delivery statuses, opt-outs and reply counts that arrive after a send are picked up. Lists and list members are refreshed in full each time.

Example Questions

  • How many SMS did we send each month this year, and what did they cost?
  • What was the delivery rate and opt-out rate for each campaign last quarter?
  • Which campaigns got the most responses?
  • How has the number of active contacts on each list changed?

Troubleshooting

Connection fails

Check that you copied the API key exactly and that the API secret matches the one saved in Kudosity under Settings > API settings. If the secret was changed in Kudosity, reconnect with the new value.

Recent delivery statuses look out of date

Carriers can take time to confirm delivery. The next sync re-reads the last 7 days, or you can trigger a manual sync from the Apps page.

How does Filament connect to Kudosity?

Filament uses your Kudosity API key and API secret, found under Settings > API settings in Kudosity. It only reads reporting data and never sends messages.

How far back does Filament sync Kudosity data?

The first sync pulls the last 12 months of messages and campaign reports, plus all of your contact lists.

How often does Kudosity data sync?

Every 6 hours. Each sync also re-reads the previous week so delivery statuses, opt-outs and reply counts stay current.

Does Filament sync SMS replies?

Not yet. Reply counts are available per campaign, but the text of individual replies is not synced.
